My north-american clients like to celebrate Halloween just like my italian clients like to celebrate “il carnevale”.
Trick-or-treating is a customary celebration for children on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy, with the question, “Trick or treat?” The word “trick” implies a “threat” to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given.
To witness the preparation and the walk around the neighborhood is like attending the rehearsal of a theatrical performance: the lines are repeated until exhaustion, you wear your costume and make up for the scene and then the long walk that leads to the stage, they are all part of the rituals, of the routine of this day.
The first time the kids go out on this big stage, almost on their own it makes it extra special not just for the them, but for the parents also. You can feel the emotions and the anticipation like little sparks of energy all around you.
Kids grow up so fast and these emotions are substituted by something else. But having me, as your photographer all day with you, not only gives you the chance to treasure these emotion, but also it give you the opportunity to just be there, in the moment, feeling all the feeling and tasting the emotions, because you don’t have to think about capturing them on photo: I’m there for that! All day, just for you!
