I was born and raised in Romania. For the first 10 years of my life I tried the experience of a dictatorial regime and then lived my adolescence in a historical moment of marked transition.
This meant that I understood well how the moments lived are not only important, but also ephemeral and very changeable.

My father was the designated photographer of the family. An engineer with an extreme passion for photography, so much so that he set up a real dark room in the small blind bathroom of our apartment.
So I have lots of photos from my early life. But then, with the tightening of economic conditions, he too had to make cuts and the darkroom was the first to be eliminated.
The lack of photographs deprived me of the possibility of remembering many moments from my childhood.

Now that I live 2000 km away from my family of origin, I understand how important photographs are both as a way to remember, but above all as an object that strengthens bonds.
This is why my work as a documentary photographer is so important. Help families to preserve the memory of loved ones, relationships, events, with art.
